Hostel rooms, PG kitchens, rented flats in cities that kept changing — but one scene followed Deepak everywhere: a vegetable going soft in the back of the fridge, and a packet of instant noodles eaten without the vegetables it was made for.
It wasn't laziness, it was time. Nobody moving between a 9-hour workday and a new city has twenty minutes to peel, chop, and wash a vegetable for a two-minute meal — so people skipped it, or bought it and watched it rot. Deepak saw it in his own kitchen first, then everywhere around him.
“If noodles can sit in a pantry for months and be ready in two minutes — why can't a vegetable?”
That question followed him through a B.Tech degree and an MBA from one of Pune's most respected institutes — and the answer always came back to the same root cause: fresh vegetables were never built for a life this busy. So he decided to rebuild them.
Could a vegetable be dried down to its essentials, sealed in a jar, and brought back to life with just a minute in hot water? It could — and that became Sukhauta.

Outside of business, he’s also spent years quietly working as a social activist — work he’s never looked to publicize.
